December 2018 Alan Melia will retire from the Board of The UK Radio Astronomy Association (UKRAA). Alan was one of the founders of UKRAA and the Board would like to thank him for his energy, enthusiasm and the depth of technical expertise he has brought to our work over the last ten years. We are pleased that Alan will continue to provide technical advice and support for the products he has helped to develop.
UKRAA are pleased to announce the appointment of three new Trustees to the Board of UKRAA.
Dave Hilton: I have a lifelong interest in astronomy and electronics I have been drawn to the fascinating field of radio astronomy and look forward to contributing to the work of the UKRAA.
John Thain: After spending 28 years in Primary Education with the majority of this time as a Deputy Headteacher and then moving to work at Stansted Airport I am now retired and focusing on Photography and Astronomy.
Andrew Thomas: I have long standing interest in astronomy which was re-energised when I discovered amateur radio astronomy. Now I have a job!
